Getting Started
Today, more people are creating the time and developing resources to invest
in themselves. In doing this, they see the long-term benefits of a
coaching collaboration. Coaches focus on strengthening their clients’ skills
from the first session forward. To get started, I offer a complimentary
one-hour coaching session for us to become better acquainted and to determine
if coaching is right for you. Call or e-mail info@journeyworkscoaching.com to set up your
complimentary session.
Should you decide to enter into a coaching partnership, I will send (in PDF
format) a Welcome Package, containing:
- Coaching Agreement
- Client Information Sheet (what to prepare before the first coaching session)
- “Maximizing the Value of Your Investment”
- “You and Your Agenda” (helps me know you better)
- “Coaching Tenets” (my beliefs and practice style)
- “Policies and Procedures” (expectations)
Ethics
The International Coach Federation adheres to a form of coaching that honors
the client as expert in his/her life and work and believes that every client
is creative, resourceful, and whole. Standing on this foundation, the
coach’s responsibility is to:
- Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
- Encourage client self-discovery
- Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
- Hold the client responsible and accountable
As a professional coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical obligations
to my coaching clients and to the public at large. I have pledged to
comply with the ICF Code of Ethics.
